About PNA Germany e. V.
Our Vision
The Philippine Nurses Association Germany e. V. is a professional association for nurses with Filipino roots in Germany. The aim is to represent the professional and social interests of Filipino nurses, to give them a voice and also to facilitate professional exchange between members. The association shall promote cultural exchange, the development of migrants from the Philippines, their professional advancement and counselling in everyday and professional life. The members shall be enabled to make full use of their qualifications in Germany, to identify and take advantage of career opportunities in Germany in the best possible way, to take advantage of the benefits that Germany offers (e.g. family reunion) and thus develop a high level of job satisfaction for themselves.
The aim is also to promote the reputation of Filipino nursing professionals among German professionals and the public.
Our Mission
(1) The purpose of the association is the promotion of development cooperation, the promotion of culture and the promotion of international spirit, tolerance in all fields of culture and the idea of international understanding.
(2) An additional purpose of the Association is the cultivation and promotion of cultural exchange, mutual assistance and the removal of barriers.
(3) The purpose shall be realised in particular through
(a) Providing assistance through consultation and exchange with members,
(b) organising professional events (e.g. webinars, congresses, lectures, seminars),
(c) communication with relevant decision-makers in the political and professional world (e.g. Phil. Embassy, Federal Ministry of Health, PNA, personnel agencies),
(d) Exchange of information regarding general everyday issues of a professional and private nature,
(e) Public relations,
(f) Regular answering of important questions (FAQ) online at regular meetings,
(g) Providing assistance through consultation and exchange with members,
(h) Organisation of professional events (e.g. webinars, congresses, lectures, seminars),
(i) communication with relevant policy and professional decision makers (e.g. Phil. Embassy, Federal Ministry of Health, PNA, HR agencies).
(j) Exchange of information on general day-to-day issues of a professional and private nature.

PNA Germany as Advisory Board Member of DKF/KDA
Since January 2024, PNA Germany e.V. has been a member of the Advisory Board of the German Competence Centre for International Skilled Workers (Deutsches Kompetenzzentrum für internationale Fachkräfte) also called as DKF/KDA in the Health and Nursing Professions. The DKF is a project of the Kuratorium Deutscher Altershilfe (KDA) and is funded by the Federal Ministry of Health in Germany.
What does DKF/KDA do?
The German Competence Center for International Professionals (DKF/KDA) in the Health and Care Professions has been active since 2019. It promotes professional exchange in this field, connects various stakeholders, sets important topics on the agenda, shares best practices, and develops practical tools.
What is the goal of DKF/KDA?
The goal is to ensure that the recruitment of international nursing professionals is sustainable, respectful, and fair.
